Origin Story (Because We All Have One)
The Art of Being a Millennial
Let's face it, being a millennial is awesome, but sometimes it really s*cks. Always balancing between not being old enough or young enough for (well) many things, witnessing catastrophic events over and over again while trying to find our place in the fast-changing world.

We were all there when dial-up internet was a luxury, social media just a place to dump your itineraries and how awesome a party was last night, started with cassette tapes and quickly evolved to CD players listening to Usher and 50 Cent.
No one knows how it happened and when, but all of a sudden we are now doom scrolling through our days, taking up gardening, knitting, DIYing the s**t out of things, and being super excited about air friers.

I cannot say this applies to everyone, but the trend is there (I figured it out while doom scrolling), apart from pushing through days with kids and responsibilities, men tend to either mow their hard-earned lawns, discuss electric cars, or play video games until their eyes bleed. On the other hand, women... oh well, we are more complex beings, aren't we? We binge-watch everything, take up different hobbies when we have time (which is never, BTW), and we accept our husbands' pastimes because that means more time for ourselves. One of the most interesting turn of events that actually started happening a couple of years ago is that we took up the most expensive hobby of them all - READING!
We FINALLY read more than we did before, we follow all the Bookstagram/Booktok/Booktube content out there, we think about TBRs, we buy books as trophies, we laugh and cry through those cliffhangers and plot twists, and we even use a new language when we talk about books. And it’s amazing!

Therefore, in my teardrop-sized free time, I decided to empty my head on a page like this, with a hope that the community might find it useful.

Getting Out of The Reading Slump
Most of us have been there, haven't we? After becoming Harry Potter experts and Hunger Games enthusiasts, finding a good book here and there, usually reading during a vacation, but we never actually got out of the reading slump. Until the good people such as content creators decided to take up on the difficult task of sharing their reviews that would end up in our feeds.
How I got out of it? Like many bookish community members out there. Long story short, Sarah J. Maas retold Beauty and the Beast adapted for our tortured millennial souls, and Rebecca Yarros made magic with dragons, powers, and smut in one hell of a book.
Everything just escalated quickly from that point.
Finding Some Lightness of Being
Books have been a safe space my entire life, and I honestly felt disappointed in myself for being in a slump for so long. Even though we know all the good and bad sides of social media, one of my favourite ones has been the book communities. Therefore, I decided to join in my own way.
You can expect some spoiler and spoiler-free reviews, book recommendations of different genres but mostly fantasy, romantasy, sci-fi, some contemporaries, and murder mysteries, book series recommendations (I love those), and top lists of many things.
I find 'lightness of being' by reading and talking about books, so I hope this content finds like-minded folks out there.
